This place is set with candles on every table, candle stands by the dining area, a grand piano, and widely spaced dining tables; all to create that romantic ambience you would definitely love!

Mum and I were nearby the area and decided to have dinner at Pontini (couldn't think of anywhere else better - not in the mood to gorge ourselves with buffet at Cafe Brios/ Holiday Inn Atrium). We were there at 7pm and although the place looked kind of quiet, we were informed that this place is almost full for the night. And she was right. People were streaming in around 8plus when we had almost finished our food.

We were ushered to our seats and once seated, a waiter came around with a basket of bread, a free appetiser to start our meal. The bread was soft and was served with a soft and light butter that had a slight cheesy taste.

The waitress told us that a must-try dish at Pontini is their wood-fired pizzas. We were recommended Tre Porcellini, meaning “three little pigs”, topped with bacon, spicy minced pork, roasted ham and based with tomatoes, mozzarella and mushrooms. The portions looked big (they said it's enough for 4 to share) when they arrived but mum and I "cleaned" the plate! Thin and crispy pizza crust with lots of fillings! With my Tobasco sauce, it was just perfect!

Next, we ordered the Lobster Linguine with fresh mushrooms, chillies and white wine. Prepared by Pontini's famous Chef Frank Kilian (he is cute by the way *Heex*), this dish was too ornate for my palate! The diced lobster were added generously and the sauce gave a smooth touch to the linguine.

La deliziosa (delicious)!!

While having our meals, the pianist started off with Jazzy pieces like The Girl from Ipanema, Moon River, What a Wonderful World...
What a purrfect combination!

P.S. I should also mention that the waitresses were very friendly, came to ask us about our food, whether we've had a good day, and refilled our glasses without needing to be asked to. Also, the toilet smells really nice!
You're a gem, Pontini!
