Hotel's ballrooms are quickly taken up on popular dates and made to measure gowns take time for completion to your perfection (depending on how nitty-gritty you can get). Believe it or not, you never know that you need so many things when you accepted that proposal ring:

Not to scare away any brides-to-be, planning is actually part of the fun! It does require a lot of ground research, price comparison and budget setting. But it is also a good time for bonding between us - sharing new ideas, sharing what we like and dislike, hoping to fulfil the dream wedding that we have.. I personally dont think a year is necessary but a good 6months of planning should be sufficient. That's when all the excitement starts to set into you as the day draws closer!
Let's face it, not everyone of us knows what a sweetheart gown style is. Wen didn't. Heex.. And with the rows and rows of gowns at your bridal shop, every one of them looks so beautiful I wonder how I will be able to find the perfect gown.
Google and Wedding magazines became my best friends. Flip through pictures, snap pictures on my iphone, read reviews online... all these will help give you an idea of what you need and narrow down to a theme/ concept. Here are a few good starters I would recommend:
