Love as lovers call it...

How do you tell if a guy truly loves you?
It is not how much loves he showers you with, or how much 'I love you' he says to you every day.

It is how much anger and frustration he dismissed away after every argument simply because he fears losing you.
How he hated you for bickering with him and yet longing to spend the rest of his life with this irritating you.

If you're always thinking about him, you no doubt fancy him.
If you're crying for him, you no doubt have strong feelings for him.
And if you're always worrying for him, emotion speaks all.

Love is a strange affair.
You thought you do, but you may not be.
You thought you don't, but you can't help but notice it is.
And I am enjoying every moment of the confusion.

Europe III: Andorra_10-27 Feb 2011 (Day 9 -11)

Andorra (19-21 Feb 2011)
Off the road on a bus from Barcelona, we took a 3-hour bus ride from BCN to Andorra - the 6th smallest country in the world and it was actually rated as one of the highest life expectancy country in the world!

It is located high on the eastern Pyrenees mountain, bordered by Spain and France.
With a population of about 90,000 people, Andorra was a pleasant surprise for me.
We reached Andorra at dusk and the mountains lit up beautifully from afar.
It was freezing cold in Andorra at -2 to 3 degrees and I absolutely loved it!!
Leaving all the pollution down below, no wonder the life expectancy rate is high over here.
It was quite a distance from the bus terminal to our hotel, and it took us quite awhile to locate the hotel, with all the ups and downs winding roads.
We finally found the hotel, and to our surprise, just like what the travel books say, the shopping streets were right there by our hotel.
A decent, hotel-like.. hotel.

Morning came and we were so eager that we got up early for breakfast provided by the hotel before heading out.
The lobby area looked quiet as we were early, and we were lucky to be one of the first to help ourselves to the buffet breakfast.
The walk outside after breakfast was amazing.
The view was simply extraordinary and the air was sooooo fresh!!
I couldn't believe we were staring right at the ice-capped mountains in our surrounding.
The bus made several stops to different skiing venue, depending on the difficulty level you wish to take.
The stop at this place looked scary, see how steep the slope was!!
I was confused by the rows and rows of ski equipments, fortunately we had 2 very helpful ski attendants to assist us in selecting the right size!

Our very friendly ski attendants!

Putting on the heavy ski boots was not easy!!
We walked like penguins and carried our ski sticks and blades to the cable car stand, which took us up to the icy mountain.
View from the Cable Car
Everywhere looks so bright and white!
We held on tight to our caps for a little shade, you could get snow blinded with such strong light exposure.
We were both amateurs and had to embrace trials (on flat ground!!) and falls before we could do a slide down a mini slope.
I got tired after 'trying' to manage a slope a couple of rounds and we took a break at the resting area, complete with burgers, fries and drinks (beer for Wen).
We took time to enjoy the view too. It was really amazingly amazing.

We got back to town in the evening and were so glad to have removed the heavy boots that I felt like I was floating with normal shoes on. We were starving (must have been all the energy lost from the heavy equipments and falling and picking ourselves up from the wet ground).
KFC!! So nice to see something so familar!
But ordering the food was quite a pain. Lots of gestures involved...

We read from the Guidebook that Andorra is a perfect place for duty free shopping and if you are into perfumes, cosmetics and all, this is a perfect place for you, prices are much cheaper than what you would find in the duty free shops in France or Spain!
I bought Baylis and Harding creams (they were cheap), even though they weighed like tons!
This is their huge departmental store.
The streets were decorated with all the lighting, it felt like Christmas!!
Andorra is a perfect place for the shopping & ski fanatics in Europe.
I asked Wen where we're going next, and he said that we're heading for a Carnival
~ in Menton & Nice!
Not after an overnight bus ride to cross the border and return to France. Chills...!
