Ben's and Jerry - Dempsey Hill

Dempsey Hill
http://www.dempseyhill.com/

Take away a full day's of stress and drama with a stroll at Dempsey Hill, it never fails to do that for me, especially so with a visit to Ben's.
The weather was warm and humid. It was a Wednesday evening and we needed to get out of home to find a place where we could chat without the city buzz.

Ben's and Jerry/ CA
The entrance of the place presents a laid back style, they have different kinds of seating arrangement: tall chairs, benches, sofas - take your pick.

On the other corner of Ben's is CA, a California style dining which serves sandwiches, burgers, tortillas and cocktails.
We felt a little hungry and decided to give this a try.

BBQ Chicken Tortillas and Nachos with guacamole sauce (avocado-based dip)
Nothing fantastic about the guacamole, tasted a little blend. I still prefer my nachos with cheese. But, the tortilla was served with chunky and juicy chicken, mushrooms and greens.
It was sooo yummy!

Here for the ice cream and the ice cream we must have.
We shared this humongous waffle - double ice cream scoops of your choice (Chunky Monkey & Strawberry) and extra whipped cream!

We spent almost 2 hours here, just chatting the night away, pouring our hearts and filling our stomachs. It was certainly a satisfying night.

Unique Hotels - One of a Kind!

I was glued to the TV last weekend.
Nat Geo Adventure was showing Weird and Wonderful Hotels and it was...wow!
I never knew some of these places exist, or even capable of existence
- kudos to the designers and architects!
I got really excited to find out what other beyond imagination designs are there, and started searching on the web! Here are some to get fellow travel-enthusiasts excited too...

~ Coffin-sized homes - Not for the claustrophobic ones!~
Capsule hotels - in several parts of Japan

~ Hotel of Doom~
Ryugyong Hotel - North Korea

As the title suggests. Not a place I would tick on my next travel.
The architecture is interesting though, thin.
So thin... hmm.. it does look a little to me like Paper Thosai! (no pun intended!)

The Dog Bark Park Inn, Idaho, USA
http://www.dogbarkparkinn.com/
Slapped right in the middle of a park, this bed & breakfast guesthouse was built into the World's Biggest Beagle. Some of the dog's decorative furnishings are carvings by Dog Bark Park chainsaw artists Dennis & Frances. Inside and up another level to the head of the dog is a loft room with additional sleeping space plus a cozy alcove in the muzzle.

~ The Seclusion and Chill ~
Ice Hotel – Sweden
The hotel is built from scratch every year.
Be assured that everything is new!

The three men are Fu Lu Shou - which means Good Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity.
This hotel is built in early 2000 and it has 10 storeys at a height of 41.6m.
Not much info about this wacky looking hotel as the official website @ http://www.tianzigarden.com is no longer working.
