Posh. Posh. Posh. Breakfast@Wild Honey

Home is an expensive place to be in if yours is called Wild Honey.
WILD HONEY
Scotts Square 6 Scott's Road, 3rd Floor Must Make Reservations! - 6636 1816 http://www.wildhoney.com.sg

Their tagline is this: No Place Like Home.
And the catch? All day breakfast. ONLY breakfast menu.
Don't expect lamb chops, fish and chips or fries at this place.
Nevertheless, expect a hearty meal that goes international and one that could keep you full for a very long time!

Sis decided to show us to this place which she tried at Mandarin Gallery and would like to try this new outlet which just opened in mid November. Scotts Square still smells of fresh paint and the place was spacious and quiet. Most of the brands here belong to the upper class, Michael Kors is there, Hermes, On Pedder. The only shop that was crowded when we were there was not even the NTUC Finest on the ground floor, it was Wild Honey. We were there at 11am, and ended up waiting for another 30mins before we got a table.

The setting of the place was beautiful and new! Very homey feel indeed. A long dining table at a corner, 2 pillars of bar top tables and a couple of tables with European arm chairs, and the rest with unique flora chairs. The whole place was elegant and chic. There is also an outdoor dining area. We were brought to a very nice table in the middle of the room, just nice for 3 of us and the 2 little girls. The chairs were unique and pretty to see, and they looked really classy.

Mexican, Italian, English, Tunisian, Yemen, Japanese... I didn't know choosing a breakfast is so much fun! The thought of scrambled eggs and pork sausages got me blinked! Sis and I chose the English breakfast. Mum on the other hand went for Canadian - stacks of classic pancakes. One considered letdown was the fact that coffee/tea was not included in the price for the breakfast. :(
We made our orders for Capuccino, Latte and Mocha separately.

Orders took a while to arrive, but we were so impressed with the servings. It was huge!
Mum's pancake set looked simple, but the pancakes were really fluffy and soft and went very well with the berry jam.
Our English breakfast was fantastic! 2 toasted bread (they are called brioche), scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, sausage (sorry, they were all hidden under the bacon, I should have moved that bacon away!) and baked beans in a cup. Way too much for both of us, we should have shared a meal. Luckily we had the girls to help.

Sis also ordered a cheesecake for her girls, and they dived into the cake before I could take a picture. But it was light and smooth, with a tinch of lemon to its taste. It came with the wild berry jam too. Already good on its own though.

Each breakfast set costs approximately between S$18-25 and the coffee costs about S$6-8. Our bill added up to $105 for the breakfast.
I find that a little too much for breakfast meal, but if you think about the ambience and considering the location, you actually pay a sum for those as well. Servings are very generous.
You could spend a long time in here with friends and family, it's a very good place for chatting or just relaxing with a book and a nice cup of coffee. The girls had so much fun with the ample space for them to walk & dance about and cute cutlery to play with!
