Inspired by the passion for baking and all things beautiful, Jamie Teo (former Ms Singapore) and hubby Daniel Ong, founded this lovely shop.
A simple concept of 12 cupcakes, specially baked to perfection, are being displayed for sale.
The rich cream and moist cakes are so tempting on display, in fact you can actually smell the aroma of the cakes from the counter.
With a choice of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, the 12 unique cupcakes are all so attractive.

I especially love this heart cupcake! Doesn't it just look beautiful?
At a price of $3 each, it is a perfect treat for your afternoon sweet indulgence.

A day you'll be treated like a queen!

Preparation and the Pre wedding Photoshoot on 14 May 2012
Wen is so funny. His preparation for the pre-wedding shoot was to make sure that I'm happy the day before so that I wont be in a bad mood and frown during the photoshoot! Well, not that I (always) have such a temper! But he was exceptionally sweet that day before, hardly any rebuttal from him even though I could sense some of such moments...!

We decided to do away with the boring indoor photoshoot.

My preparation for the pre-wedding shoot was thus to make sure that I brought along everything I need.
Heels for the shoot. I bought this pretty pair of shoes from Pazzion that I would want to wear for my wedding day!
However, my wedding consultant warned me about getting it dirty during outdoor photoshoot and asked if I could bring another pair instead. Nevertheless, I would like to show this pair in my photoshoot - with  gowns that are short/ empire style. So, I brought along 2 pairs of heels! Wouldn't hurt to bring more than you need. Best part is, I did not even need to carry my own stuff! Thanks to my makeup artist who followed me throughout the photoshoot, she helped to bring the necessary things I need for each photoshoot venue.
Flats! This is a must, my wedding consultant said. Imagine walking under the hot sun in a thick and heavy piece of gown. At times when you have to walk a distance to a spot that the photographer fancies, this pair of helpers was indeed helpful! Doesn't matter even if it's a casual flip flops, cos they won't show in the photos.
Nubra - This is a must-have item for all brides. Unlike reviews that I've heard about this, my conclusion is that so long as you buy a good quality (not from the wholesale online/ push cart), it is actually very comfortable and easy to wear.
Our selected outfits for the photoshoot
Our bridal studio was also thoughtful during the photoshoot and we were glad that they came more than prepared. A bucket full of iced water was prepared for the shoot, sunblock spray for our exposed skin and even the hands and feet  were not neglected, a huge hand fan (it looks like a car sunscreen protector) which another helper would give us a good breeze whenever Wen and I were feeling hot, and lunch arrived as soon as we were back at the bridal studio for a half-time break.
With all things set, we were there at the studio at 9.30am. I couldn't believe at first that my make up and hairstyling would take 2 hours. Wen spent his time walking around chatting with the other consultants, while I was sitting there just being made up. The end result was quite a surprise to me, and it really took 2 hours to complete! Wen's took only 30 mins!
And off we went for the photoshoot. With four different outfits and venues, we were changed quickly for the next photoshoot, either at the venue itself or back at the studio where we had our lunch break. Service from the bridal studio was impeccable. Everything was well taken care of, and we just had to follow. Help was given whenever we needed, and the makeup artist was attentive in ensuring that we look good during the shoot. I felt really pampered!
Thanks Enya!

More feedback about Enya after I've seen my photos :)
One more item struck off the wedding checklist!

Before you say I do

"There's so much to prepare for a wedding!", a bride would say. "That's so much money!", a groom would quip.
All for that special day when both of them say "I do."

Wedding in Singapore - for a common and proper Chinese wedding, it requires the couple at least 1 year of planning. You will find this recommended timeline on most of the helpful wedding checklists. Hotel's ballrooms are quickly taken up on popular dates and made to measure gowns take time for completion to your perfection (depending on how nitty-gritty you can get). Believe it or not, you never know that you need so many things when you accepted that proposal ring:
~ ~
the perfect wedding dinner celebration (location, decor theme, menu)
gowns and suits, wedding shoes (the style, colour, design)
Makeup artist (some say it's not good to do your own makeup...)
Photographer/ Videographer (Pre-shoot, Actual day)
Wedding car
Wedding bands
Guest list and seating arrangement
Honeymoon plans
and more...!

Not to scare away any brides-to-be, planning is actually part of the fun! It does require a lot of ground research, price comparison and budget setting. But it is also a good time for bonding between us - sharing new ideas, sharing what we like and dislike, hoping to fulfil the dream wedding that we have.. I personally dont think a year is necessary but a good 6months of planning should be sufficient. That's when all the excitement starts to set into you as the day draws closer!

Let's face it, not everyone of us knows what a sweetheart gown style is. Wen didn't. Heex.. And with the rows and rows of gowns at your bridal shop, every one of them looks so beautiful I wonder how I will be able to find the perfect gown.

Google and Wedding magazines became my best friends. Flip through pictures, snap pictures on my iphone, read reviews online... all these will help give you an idea of what you need and narrow down to a theme/ concept. Here are a few good starters I would recommend:

Extraordinary Wedding http://www.extraordinary.com.sg/
SG wedding discussion forums - http://singaporebrides.com/
Style Wedding magazine (bi-annual publication)
Wedding shows (pay a nominal fee to enjoy the invitation of your fave hotel for display of ballroom design, food tasting, gowns, photography, special discounts from hotel or selected vendors (florists, musicians, manicurist, wines, etc), and a visit to their wedding suites)
~ ~
We have confirmed our venue, bridal studio and photography, now awaiting for our pre-photoshoot that is happening next week! Can't wait to see how the entire day goes!
And after weeks of searching, we finally confirmed our wedding bands, a classic rose gold piece.
We love it!
